Former captain Sanath Jayasuriya has been appointed as a cricket consultant of the Sri Lanka Cricket Institute.

Accordingly, all the teams coming to the High Performance Center of Sri Lanka Cricket will be supervised through him.

Sri Lanka Cricket says that the appointment of Sanath Jayasuriya marks a strategic initiative to utilize the expertise and experience of one of Sri Lanka's cricket veterans to enhance the growth and development of the game.
