Also, the meteorological department says that there is a favorable air global condition for the development of thunderstorms in the evening.

Accordingly, some places in Sabaragamuwa and Weste Provinces and Galle and Matara districts received 50mm heavy rain.

The department also mentioned that there will be a foggy situation in the mo ing in some places in Weste , Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces.

The Department of Meteorology requests the people to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
