Singapore's population has grown by 5% to a record 5.92 million by mid-2023.

According to a gove ment report, this is the fastest increase since 2008 and is due to the attraction of more foreign workers.

Accordingly, the number of non-residents in the country had increased by 13.1% to 1.768 million a year ago.

It is also reported that the resident population of Singapore has grown by 1.9%.
