Sri Lanka Customs has recorded a revenue exceeding Rs. 1.5 trillion last year.
This is the highest revenue recorded in the history of Sri Lanka Customs in a single year.
Accordingly, the department has succeeded in approaching the revenue target of Rs. 1.533 trillion that the gove ment had given to the Customs in 2024.
Customs Media Spokesperson and Additional Director General of Customs Seevali Arukgoda stated that the gove ment's tax policy, the increase in imports and the efficiency of the tax collection process carried out by the Customs management have contributed to this.
