According to the Sinhala and Tamil New Year rituals, the ritual of anointing the head is tomorrow (16).

Accordingly, at the auspicious time of 09.04 tomorrow mo ing, it is auspicious to dress in green clothes, face the north, place kohomba leaves on the head and kolon leaves on the feet, and take a bath with oil mixed with kohomba leaf juice, according to the Avurudu Neketh Seettuwa.

This year's state ceremony of anointing the head is planned to be held at the Natha Devalaya grounds of the Dalada Maligawa complex in Kandy.
