The Department of Meteorology says that there will be occasional rain or thundershowers in Weste , Sabaragamuwa, South, Central and North-West provinces today (04).

It is said that some places in Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle, Matara and Nuwara Eliya districts may experience heavy rains of more than 50 mm.

Anuradhapura district may experience some rain.

The weste slopes of the central hills and the weste , southe , north-weste , northe and north-central provinces will have gusty winds of 40-45 km/h from time to time.

When the Sun is apparently moving south, it is directly above Sri Lanka's near latitudes from 28th August to 7th September.

And at 12:09 in the afte oon, it is said that the sun will rise in the areas of Kochikade, Mawanella, Peradeniya, Galahitiyawa (Badulla District), Danigala (Monaragala District) and Paragahakale (Ampara District).
