Every year, the 22nd of May has been declared the Inte ational Day for Biodiversity by the United Nations.

This year's IDB celebration took place in Nairobi, today.

The Theme of Biodiversity Day 2024 is 'Be part of the Plan'.

It is a call to action for all stakeholders to halt and reverse the loss of biodiversity.

To do that people should support the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, also known as 'The Biodiversity Plan'.

Gove ments, natives and local communities, non-gove mental organizations, lawmakers, businesses, and individuals are encouraged to focus on how they are supporting the implementation of the Biodiversity Plan.

Therefore everyone has a role to play and be a part of the plan.
