United Airlines has issued an apology to NFL Hall of Fame legend Terrell Davis after the two-time Super Bowl champion was 'wrongly handcuffed' on a flight to Califo ia.

Davis, who was flying with his family, was accused by a flight attendant of hitting him, a claim Davis refutes.

The incident, which Davis described as traumatizing, occurred after Davis lightly tapped the attendant to get his attention.

Following the accusation, Davis was handcuffed and removed from the plane by FBI agents and local authorities. United Airlines has removed the flight attendant from duty and is investigating the matter.
