It was by the Assistant Director of the Colombo Disaster Management Unit. 

 

He said that this notification was made due to the fire that broke out in a chemical warehouse in Homagama Industrial Estate last night. 

 

The cause of the fire has not yet been revealed and military security has been provided around it.
