Spells of showers will occur in Weste , Sabaragamuwa, and North-weste provinces and Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts.

Fairly heavy showers above 50 mm can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa province and Nuwara Eliya district.
 
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Uva province in the evening or night.
 
Strong winds of about 40-50 kmph will develop at times over the Weste slopes of the central hills, Northe , North-central, and North-weste provinces, and in Trincomalee, Hambantota, and Monaragala districts.
 
The public is highly advised to take necessary safety measures to minimize damages caused by heavy rain, strong winds, thunder, and lightning.
