The Department of Meteorology has issued an announcement saying that there will be occasional rain or thundershowers in the Weste , Sabaragamuwa and North-Weste provinces and Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.

It also stated that some places in Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Puttalam, Galle and Matara districts may experience heavy rain of more than 50 mm.

Few rains may occur in Mannaram district.
 
In the weste slopes of the central hills, North-West, North and North-Central Provinces, Trincomalee and Hambantota districts, the winds are blowing from time to time per 40-45 kmh.
