The cabinet has approved the increase in fines as per the amendments made to the legal code.

It was in the Cabinet meeting held on 12-12-2022 to prepare the bill to amend the fines mentioned in the Penal Code compared to the current financial values.

Accordingly, the draft bill prepared by the draftsman has received the approval of the Atto ey General.

The Cabinet approved the proposal made by the Minister of Justice to publish this Bill in the Gove ment Gazette and then submit it to the Parliament for approval.
