The Department of Meteorology says in a statement that there will be some rain in Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces, Galle and Matara districts.

It also stated that rain or thundershowers will occur in few places in Central and Uva provinces and Ampara, Batticaloa and Polonnaruwa districts during evening or night.

There will be mainly rainless weather in the rest of the island.
 
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
