It is reported that Mr. Jagath Priyankara of the National Freedom Front is going to be appointed for the vacant position of the Minister of State Sanath Nishantha who passed away suddenly this mo ing.

Due to the fact that he is the next candidate in the list of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna according to the preference results of that district.

He is currently serving as the Puttalam district leader of the National Freedom Front.
