The Railway Department has issued a statement stating that 2 train services will be cancelled on March 9.

This is due to essential maintenance work on a bridge on the railway line between Wellawa and Ganewatta on the Northe Railway Line.

The statement states that train number 4449, which was scheduled to depart from Kurunegala at 8.20 am and run to Mahawa Junction, and train number 4853, which was scheduled to depart from Mahawa Junction at 10.50 am and run to Kurunegala, have been cancelled.
