There has been an increase in the price of gold in the world market, and the price of gold in Sri Lanka has also increased in comparison to it.

Accordingly, it is reported that the price of gold in Sri Lanka has increased by Rs. 3,000 today (12) compared to yesterday (11).

The price of a pound of '22 carat' gold at the Colombo Hetti Street Gold Market has been recorded at Rs. 312,000.

Meanwhile, it is reported that the price of a pound of '24 carat' gold, which was Rs. 336,000 yesterday (11), has increased to Rs. 339,000 today.
