30 Indian fishermen who were released from prisons in this country have arrived in Chennai.

It is reported that the fishermen left for India yesterday (02).

The fishermen were arrested by the Sri Lankan Navy while illegally entering Sri Lankan waters and engaged in fishing activities.

They were later produced before the court and remanded in custody, and after diplomatic intervention, they were released by the Indian authorities and brought back to their country.
