The Public Health Inspectors Association says that steps have been taken to suspend 8 Dansals that did not follow proper health and safety procedures.

Its secretary, Chamil Muthukuda, stated that 17 more dansals were given permission to operate after proper instructions.

A number of Dansals were organized across the island yesterday (12) to mark the Vesak Poya, and all Dansals have been supervised by Public Health Inspectors.

Secretary of the Public Health Inspectors Association Chamil Muthukuda stated that they will continue to inspect the Dansals being held today as well.
