The price of gold in this country has increased by Rs. 5,000 compared to last week.

Accordingly, it is reported that the price of a pound of '22 carat' gold has increased to Rs. 310,000 at the Hetti Street Gold Market in Colombo this mo ing (11).

The price of a pound of '22 carat' gold was recorded at Rs. 305,300 yesterday (10).

Meanwhile, the price of a pound of '24 carat' gold, which was at Rs. 330,000 yesterday (10), has increased to Rs. 335,000 today.
