A dead body has been found in the sea near the jetty at the Adani Terminal, Colombo Port.

Police stated that the identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed and that the body is in a decomposed state beyond recognition.

After the magistrate's examination, the body has been deposited at the Colombo National Hospital morgue.
