An engine fire has broken out on a United Airlines passenger plane in the US.

Foreign media reported that the accident occurred moments before takeoff from Houston Airport.

There were 108 people on board the plane at the time of the fire.

The authorities were able to quickly evacuate them all and prevent the fire from spreading.
