A ship carrying 120 passengers and crew members has caught fire in the Philippine Sea.

According to the Philippine authorities, a coast guard vessel was deployed to rescue the people on board and put out the fire.

It is reported that the ship caught fire while traveling from Siquijor province to Bohol province in the central Philippines.
