The price of gold in this country has decreased by Rs. 20,000 compared to yesterday (17).

Accordingly, the price of a pound of '22 carat' gold at the Colombo Hettiveediya Gold Market this mo ing (18) has reportedly dropped to Rs. 360,800.

It was recorded as Rs. 379,200 yesterday (17).

Meanwhile, the price of a pound of '24 carat' gold, which was Rs. 410,000 yesterday (17), has dropped to Rs. 390,000 today (18), the Colombo Hettiveediya Gold Market stated.
