In Pussellawa, a wasp attack on a group of plantation workers in the Melfatwatta area left one person dead and six others injured.

The incident occurred yesterday evening, with the victims rushed to Gampola Hospital for treatment.

Unfortunately, a 50-year-old resident of Melfatwatta succumbed to his injuries.

One individual remains in critical condition at the hospital, while four others have been discharged after receiving medical care. Police are investigating the incident.
