Sri Lanka’s foreign reserves show significant growth



The official reserve assets of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka have increased to $6,873 million in May 2026.

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka stated that it has increased by 1.6% from $6,766 million in April to $6,873 million in May 2026.

The Central Bank also stated that the increase in reserves includes those from the foreign exchange swap facility received from the People’s Bank of China.
