A lorry travelling from Anuradhapura towards Kurunegala and a van travelling from Kurunegala towards Anuradhapura collided head-on this mo ing (24).

The accident took place in the Moragoda area near the Mirigama junction in Thalawa.

The death toll in the accident has risen to 04.

The police stated that the van belonged to a private garment factory.

The police further stated that four men, including the driver of the van, have died.
