Former IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon, who is currently suspended, has been ordered to be summoned to the Matara Magistrate's Court once again.
Accordingly, it is reported that the Matara Magistrate has ordered him to appear before the court on the 25th today (21).
The magistrate has issued this order following a presentation made to the court by the Criminal Investigation Department.
It is reported that the Criminal Investigation Department has today requested that an order be issued for Deshabandu Tennakoon to appear in court as Additional Solicitor General of the Atto ey General's Department. Dileepa Peers is scheduled to present his reasons regarding Deshabandu Tennakoon leaving the Matara Magistrate's Court in a vehicle in defiance of the court's orders.
