The trial of the judge in the case against Sri Lankan cricketer Dhanishka Gunathilaka was convened for the 3rd consecutive day today (19) before the NSW District Court in Sydney, Australia.
Gunathilaka has been acquitted of one charge of involuntary sexual intercourse.
The police officer who accepted Dhanishka's complaint while giving evidence said that she had thrown the paper on which Dhanishka's complaint was recorded in the trash.
It is stated that she did not have the police notebook with her at the time of recording the complaint, so she recorded it on another sheet.
Accordingly, the conce ed girl and Gunathilaka first met at the Opera Bar, where the CCTV footage showed them hugging.
It is reported that he then drank alcohol and retu ed to the woman's house via the ferry.
The woman has told the court that Gunathilake tried to convince her not to use condoms.
But Mr. Thangaraj, the lawyer representing Gunathilake, insisted that this is not the case.
He further stated that the main issue in the trial is Gunathilaka's state of mind as to whether or not he removed the condom without the woman's knowledge.
