Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today (23) ordered the release of former Moratuwa Municipal Council Mayor Samanlal Fe ando, who was remanded in custody, on bail.

The magistrate has ordered the suspect to be released on three sureties of one million rupees each and a cash bail of 50,000 rupees.

The court has also ordered the suspect to be banned from traveling abroad.
