Mr. Parameswaran Iyer,  Executive Director of the World Bank, says that he will give his full support to the program being carried out by the Sri Lankan gove ment to get rid of the economic crisis.

Mr. Iyer expressed these views in a meeting held today (15) with the Minister of State for Finance, Mr. Shehan Semasinghe.

He also discussed the welfare benefit program in Sri Lanka at length, praised the commitment of Sri Lanka.

Mr. Iyer described the experience of welfare benefit programs in India and expressed his admiration for the new welfare process.
