Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Nalinda Jayatissa has assured that steps are being taken to curb the resurgence of underworld activities.

Speaking at the weekly Cabinet media briefing held today (December 24), Jayatissa stated that the gove ment, along with the security forces, is addressing the issue through systematic interventions.

'As a gove ment, we are committed to suppressing the underworld and drug trafficking,' he said. 'This will not be done through flashy displays or weekly operations. Measures are being taken, and the results will become evident over time.'

The gove ment emphasized its dedication to maintaining law and order while ensuring long-term solutions to these challenges.
