US President Donald Trump has decided to impose a 44% tariff on goods imported from Sri Lanka.
It is reported that the relevant tax will be implemented from the day after tomorrow (05).
The US President announced the imposition of reciprocal tariffs on several countries live yesterday (02).
Foreign media reported that a new tariff list was released for more than 60 countries around the world.
According to this new tax policy, a 10% tariff is included on all imports.
Accordingly, a 44% tariff has been imposed on Sri Lanka, which is reported to be among the top five countries in the world that impose the highest tariffs.
A 49% tariff has been imposed on Cambodia, and a 46% tariff has been imposed on Vietnam.
