According to the latest National Consumer Price Index released by the Department of Population and Statistics today (21) there has been a significant increase in inflation in December compared to November.
The report states that the country's inflation, which was reported as 2.4% in November, has increased to 2.9% in December.
Similarly, the headline inflation in the food category, which was reported as 3.6% in November, has increased to 4.4% in December.
In addition, the headline inflation in the non-food category, which was 1.5% in November, has increased to 1.6% in December.
