The Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Gove ment says that liquor stores, meat shops, and other places will be closed for 3 days in observance of the state Vesak festival.

The ministry stated that all liquor stores, meat shops, places where animals are killed for meat, race bookies, casinos, and clubs on the island will be closed for three days, May 12, 13, and 14.
