The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority says that the number of foreign tourists who have visited the country so far in 2025 has exceeded 1.8 million.

The authority stated that 75,657 tourists have visited Sri Lanka in the first 15 days of this month alone.

With this, the total number of tourists who have visited Sri Lanka so far has increased to 1,801,151.

The largest number of tourists who have visited the island are from India, and the number is reported to have reached close to the 400,000 mark.

Accordingly, 396,274 tourists have visited the country from India so far.
