Saulos Chilima, Vice President of Malawi, and nine others were flying in a military plane within the country yesterday (10) mo ing when their aircraft disappeared from airport radars.
The aircraft was flying in bad weather. It was scheduled to land at the airport in the northe city of Mzuzu.
Malawi’s Defence Force confirmed today (11) that they found the crashed plane in Chikangawa Forest with no survivors.
Dr Chilima served as Malawi's vice president since 2014. He was very popular among Malawians, especially the youth.
