The Irrigation Department has identified areas where minor flooding is likely to occur within the next 48 hours due to the heavy rainfall on the island.

The department stated that there is a high possibility of minor flooding in the low-lying areas of the Bulathsinhala, Madurawala, and Palindanuwara Divisional Secretariat Divisions.
