A person who attempted to offer a bribe of Rs. 50,000 has been arrested in front of the official desk of the OIC of the Traffic Division at the Bemmulla Police Station.

This was done by officers of the Commission to Investigate Bribery or Corruption.

The suspect is reported to be a motorcycle mechanic resident of the Kalagedihena area.

The suspect who was arrested is scheduled to be produced before the Colombo Magistrate's Court.
