Myanmar Foreign Minister Than Swe has expressed his gratitude to the government and people of Sri Lanka.

He expressed his gratitude for Sri Lanka's willingness to send a team of doctors to Myanmar to provide emergency treatment to the people affected by the earthquake in Myanmar and for Sri Lanka's offer to provide emergency relief and humanitarian assistance.

He made this statement in response to the official message of condolence sent by the Sri Lankan government to Myanmar and its people.
