Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera says that the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation and IOC companies have sufficient fuel stocks, so people are requested not to worry about the fuel shortage.

In a Twitter message, the minister said that the current situation has arisen due to petrol station owners not placing orders in anticipation of a reduction in fuel prices.

The Minister further mentioned that the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation is requested to review and suspend the license of petrol stations that have not maintained minimum stocks.
