The Sri Lankan Election Commission has announced the final results for the Colombo District in the 2024 General Election. The National People’s Power (NPP) emerged as the leading party, capturing over 68% of the total votes in the district.

The NPP received 788,636 votes, securing the district win, while the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) came in second with 208,249 votes (18.12%).

Based on these results, the NPP has obtained 14 seats in Colombo District, with the SJB winning 4 seats.

• Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB): 208,249 votes – 4 seat
• New Democratic Front (NDF): 51,020 votes 
• Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP): 34,880 votes
• Sarvajana Balaya: 24,746 votes
