The Sri Lankan Election Commission has announced the final results for the Kegalle District in the 2024 General Election. The National People’s Power (NPP) emerged as the leading party, capturing over 64% of the total votes in the district.

The NPP received 312,441 votes, securing the district win, while the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) came in second with 109,691 votes (22.75%).

Based on these results, the NPP has obtained 7 seats in Kegalle District, with the SJB winning 2 seats.

• National People’s Power (NPP): 312,441 votes – 7 seats
• Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB): 109,691 votes – 2 seat
• New Democratic Front (NDF): 26,309 votes 
• Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP): 12,373 votes
• Sarvajana Balaya: 7,602 votes
