Lawyer Supun Wijeratne officially assumed duties today (03) as the new Chairman of the National Youth Services Council and the Director General of Youth Affairs of Sri Lanka.

It is reported that the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Sunil Kumara Gamage, and Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs, Eranga Gunasekara, participated in the event.

Prior to this appointment, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the National Youth Services Council.
