Deputy Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic, and Marine Resources, Ratna Gamage, says that operations have been intensified to arrest Indian fishermen who are engaged in illegal fishing activities in Sri Lankan waters.
He said that the Fisheries Ministry, Navy, and Police are jointly conducting these raids.
328 Indian fishermen have been arrested during the past year.
It is also reported that 41 Indian fishing vessels have been arrested.
