The Secretary General of Parliament, Kushani Rohanadeera, announced that an information desk will be set up today (19) and tomorrow (20) to assist Members of Parliament in preparation for the first session of the 10th Parliament.

Open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Parliament complex, the information desk will provide essential documents, conduct ID photo sessions, and register MPs’ fingerprints for electronic polling.

Rohanadeera noted that over two-thirds of the MPs elected this year are new, requiring orientation on parliamentary procedures, etiquette, and debate rules. To address this, a three-day workshop will be held on November 25–27 to familiarize them with chamber operations, committee work, and other essential processes.
