Prof. P.N.D. Fe ando officially assumed duties as Chairman of People’s Bank on November 18, 2024, at a ceremony held at the bank's Head Office.

The event was attended by CEO/General Manager Clive Fonseka and the senior management team.

With over 25 years of experience in finance, banking, and academia, Prof. Fe ando previously served as Professor and Head of the Department of Finance at the University of Kelaniya. His academic contributions include pioneering innovative degree programs and securing ISO 21001 certification for the Kelaniya MBA program.

Prof. Fe ando holds a PhD in Gove ment Economics, an MBA through a Colombo Plan scholarship, and an undergraduate degree in Business Management. He has also served as a consultant for top financial institutions, including the Colombo Stock Exchange.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity, Prof. Fe ando outlined his vision to strengthen digital transformation and foster customer-centric growth at People’s Bank, aligning with the nation’s evolving financial needs.
