The 80th United Nations Summit is scheduled to be held next week at the UN headquarters in New York City, USA.

Foreign media reported that the US has denied Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas a visa to attend the summit.

However, a resolution has been passed by a majority of UN member states to allow him to address the summit via video technology.

It is reported that plans are also being made to recognize Palestine as a separate state at this summit.
