There are plans to introduce a syllabus related to the education reform to be implemented from 2026, develop infrastructure facilities, and educate the public about new education reforms.

It is reported that the Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education has agreed to appoint subcommittees for future actions related to this.

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya stated that plans have been made to physically inspect each school and develop the necessary infrastructure facilities to minimize the disparity between schools and implement new reforms.

Also, plans have been made to take necessary measures regarding the constructions that have been stopped at present and to identify unsafe areas in schools and promptly renovate and develop them.
