The Postal and Telecommunications Officers' Association says that a symbolic strike will be launched by employees of all post offices across the island.

The president of the association, G. G. C. Niroshana, stated that the symbolic strike will be implemented from midnight today (28).

Meanwhile, the president of the association, G. G. C. Niroshana, further stated that the symbolic strike at the Colombo Central Postal Exchange will begin at 4.00 pm today.

The Postal and Telecommunications Officers' Association stated that this symbolic strike is being implemented based on several demands, including filling vacancies, non-granting of salary increments, and non-approval of the Civil Service Constitution.
