President Anura Kumara Dissanayake says that the Buddha's sermons convey a profound message for world peace.

Issuing a message for Vesak Day, the President stated that the need to understand those teachings in practice and act according to the four Brahma Viharas of loving-kindness, compassion, equanimity, and equanimity has emerged more strongly than ever before for a peaceful world where the flames of war have been extinguished.
